October Conference Brings Together Industry Thought-Leaders to Exchange Ideas on Next Generation High-Tech Innovation and Funding
Silicon Valley 4.0 will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at the new Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. The one-day event is designed to be a unique gathering of industry leaders–past, present and future–who will predict next-generation technology developments and share lessons learned that transcend generations.
“Silicon Valley has produced three incredible generations of technology: semiconductors, personal computers and the Internet. Our goal with Silicon Valley 4.0 is to assess where the next bet is likely to be placed,” said Guy Kawasaki, CEO of Garage Technology Ventures. “Will it be nano, wireless, biotech, Internet 2, or something not currently on the radar?”
“This is a conference whose time has come,” commented Churchill Club Executive Director Christie Valdez. “We’re pleased to join forces with Garage to present an industry forum that offers a fresh perspective and new attitude: one that is optimistic and confident about the Valley’s future.”

As an unusual twist, conference attendees may submit demo ideas for consideration by the Silicon Valley 4.0 staff. To honor the past, the conference also will provide the opportunity to peek in on the Computer History Museum’s Visible Storage Exhibits.
